CHICAGO (WLS) -- After a woman was hit in the face by a puck at a Blackhawks game, a judge blocked her lawsuit from moving forward Monday.

Patricia Higgins was hurt at a Stanley Cup Finals game in 2013. She sued the United Center, saying it should have maintained and inspected its safety nets to protect fans.

A judge dismissed the case, citing a law called the Hockey Facility Liability Act. He said the United Center is not at fault.
