2 shot in DeKalb, police say

DEKALB, Ill. (WLS) -- Police are investigating after two people were shot in DeKalb, officials said.

The shooting occurred near Pleasant Street and North 10th Street Thursday afternoon.

Northern Illinois University officials say the shooting took place off-campus and did not involve students, although a safety bulletin will be sent to students as a precaution.

No other details have been released.
