Metra expands safety program

CHICAGO -- Metra is working to give you a safer commute.

The agency is expanding its "confidential close call reporting system."

Under the system, Metra employees can report safety concerns or violations without getting in trouble.

Metra started the system last summer with one union. On Tuesday, it expanded to others.

Metra says it now has the most comprehensive safety reporting system in the nation.
