Teen accidentally shot teen in Park Manor, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 19-year-old man was charged after he accidentally shot an 18-year-old man in Chicago's Park Manor neighborhood, police said.

Around 3:25 p.m. Sunday, police said Donnell Blassingill was inside a home in the 7000-block of South Eberhart Avenue with friends when he fired a gun he was holding.

The 18-year-old man was struck in the right arm and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he is listed in good condition.

Blassingill, of the 14000-block of South Ingleside Avenue, was charged with reckless discharge of a firearm. He is due in bond court Monday.
