Closures planned for Grand entrance to LSD

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A busy on-ramp to Lake Shore Drive will be closed to traffic Wednesday.

The on-ramp to the drive at Grand Avenue will be shut down at 9 a.m. and should reopen by 4 p.m. in time for the evening commute. That ramp will also close on Tuesday, March 22.

The closures will allow crews to work on the Navy Pier Flyover Project. It will fix a bottleneck along the lakefront path in front of Navy Pier that has created problems for joggers, pedestrians, bicyclists and drivers.
