17-year-old killed in Jefferson Park shooting

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot Monday afternoon in the Jefferson Park neighborhood on the city's Northwest Side, police said.

The shooting occurred at about 1:15 p.m. in the 5500-block of North Harlem Avenue, in the parking lot of the Taco Burrito King Restaurant.

The boy was taken to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he was pronounced dead.
