Man accused of having child porn involving kids younger than 13

NORTH CHICAGO, Ill. (WLS) -- A North Chicago man was arrested after investigators seized electronic devices from his home that had several videos considered to be child pornography on them. The subjects were younger than 13.

Preston D. brown, 47, was taken into his custody Monday at his home in the 2300-block of 23rd Street by investigators executing a search warrant.

Multiple electronic storage devices were found in the home, containing the alleged child pornography.

Brown was charged with eight counts of possession of child pornography. He could face 3-7 years in prison for each count.

He is being held at the Lake County jail on $100,000 bail. He is due back in court on April 28 at 1:30 p.m.
