CRETE, Ill. (WLS) -- The manhunt for a suspect wanted in the murder of an elderly Crete man has come to an end.

U.S. Marshals arrested Jesus Larosa, 47, in Dallas on Wednesday. Investigators say the Chicago man beat and strangled 85-year-old Alfred Hilton at his home in May 2014.

Larosa reportedly left the Chicago area last week after learning about the charges against him.

Investigators said Larosa had served 20 years for a prior murder conviction and was out on parole when Hilton was murdered.

Larosa has been charged with three counts of first degree murder. His bond has been set at $3 million.
