WB ramp Wacker Drive ramp to LSD to close

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The westbound ramp from intermediate Wacker/Lake Shore Drive to Upper Wacker will close for construction starting Monday, according to the Chicago Department of Transportation.

The ramp will reopen temporarily on April 22 to accommodate traffic associated with the NFL Draft, but then close for an additional six weeks.

After the NFL Draft, the ramp will be closed for an additional six weeks.

The detour will start on westbound intermediate Wacker Drive, left onto intermediate Columbus Drive, right on intermediate South Water Street, right at Wabash and then continue to the Upper Wacker Drive intersection.

To avoid possible traffic delays, CDOT suggests that motorists coming from Lake Shore Drive should use Grand or Randolph as a westbound alternatives.

CDOT is conduction ongoing pin and link structural repair.
