Fallen tree branch kills 20-year-old man in Dolton

DOLTON, Ill. (WLS) -- A 20-year-old tree service employee was killed Saturday when a large tree branch struck him in the head in south suburban Dolton, officials said.

Romero Tirado, of Hammond, was working for a company that was cutting down a tree in the 15300-block of Sunset Drive.

The branch hit him at about 12:30 p.m. Tirado was taken to St. Margaret's Hospital in Hammond, where he died.
