CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police have issued a warning for CTA riders after a woman was robbed at gunpoint the evening of April 3rd.
The victim was waiting on the Pink Line platform at the Kedzie stop when she was approached by an offender displaying a handgun, authorities said.
The suspect demanded the woman's personal belongings and proceeded to take them by force.
Detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying the offender, who can be seen in surveillance photos. He is described as a black male between the ages of 17-20, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing 140-160 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Chicago Police Department.
Authorities suggest that riders remain aware of their surroundings and report suspicious activity immediately.
