ELMHURST, Ill. (WLS) -- Elmhurst police were called to an elementary school Thursday morning after a bullet was found inside a bathroom.

Lincoln Elementary was placed on soft lock down for a couple of hours while police scoured the building.

Police determined the bullet was brought inside from the playground. A search of the playground with metal detectors did not find any further dangers.

Though police said there is no danger to anyone at the school, they will remain on site through dismissal as a precaution and to reassure students and parents.
