Man tried to drag woman into car in Ravenswood, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are warning people in the Ravenswood neighborhood about a man who tried to drag a woman into his car.

Police say a man parked his car and walked up to a woman near Damen and Wilson on Thursday night, then grabbed her by the arm and tried to pull her into his car.

The woman fought back, hitting the man until he let go. She was able to run away.

He was described as a 30- to 38-year-old Hispanic man, standing 5-foot-7 and weighing 200 pounds, police said. He has brown eyes, brown hair, a light complexion and was driving a red, four-door hardtop vehicle.
