BURBANK, Ill. (WLS) -- Reavis High School in Burbank, Ill., say the school was placed on soft lockdown Wednesday afternoon after someone at the school received a threatening email, school officials said.

Reavis Township High School District 220 Superintendent Dan Riordan said some teachers received an email threat referencing other school shootings. Officers already on the premises investigated the threat and found there was no immediate threat, Riordan said. Students were dismissed normally.

As an additional precaution, two additional security officers will be at Reavis High School Wednesday and Thursday.

Following dismissal, police conducted a sweep of the building. Nothing was found.
