CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two people were seriously injured in a stabbing at a park in the South Chicago neighborhood.

Emergency crews responded to Russell Square Park in the 3000-block of E. 83rd Street around 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The Chicago Fire Department said two people with stab wounds were rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition.

Police have taped off the basketball court, but the park remains open.
