Vehicle hit by gunfire on Stevenson Expressway

A vehicle was hit by gunfire in the inbound lanes of the Stevenson Expressway near Damen around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, state police said.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Illinois State Police are investigating an overnight shooting in the inbound lanes of the Stevenson Expressway near Damen.

Police said at least one car was hit by bullets around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. The driver was not hurt.

Lanes were closed while troopers looked for shell casings. Police have not made any arrests.
