LAKE VILLA, Ill. (WLS) -- Lake County sheriff's deputies responded to a call for five people overdosing on an unknown substance Saturday night in unincorporated Lake Villa, officials say.

The sheriff's office says when deputies arrived at a residence in the 39300-block of North Lake Avenue they found five adults who appeared to be suffering from an overdose. Two were unconscious and unresponsive. Deputies administered Naloxone to both victims, who then both responded and regained consciousness.

The other three people were conscious but incoherent, deputies say. All five were taken to an area hospital and are expected to live.

Police said evidence of drug use was found at the residence. An investigation is ongoing.
