Driver killed by Metra Rock Island train on South Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Metra service on the Rock Island District Line is back to normal Monday morning after a deadly accident.

A driver was killed after a train hit his car at West 119th near South Marshfield Avenue Sunday night.

The Chicago Fire Department said the driver was the only person in the car and he died at the scene. The driver's identity has not been released.

No one else was injured.
