CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police and family are asking the public's help finding Tanya Martin, 45, who has been missing from Chicago's Kenwood neighborhood since Tuesday night.

Martin's family says she suffers from schizophrenia but has never before left without notifying her daughter or other family members. They are deeply concerned for her well-being.

Martin was last seen in the vicinity of the 5000-block of South Lake Shore Drive. Police say it is not known what she was last wearing, but may be carrying a black purse and driving a silver four-door 2014 Toyota Avalon.

Martin is described as an African American woman, 5 ft. 10 in. tall and 230 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She is known to frequent the areas near Orland Park and possibly Joliet.

If you have seen her or have information about her location, call 911 or contact Area Central Detectives at 312-747-8380.
