CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Lincoln Park Zoo announced a $125 million capital campaign to make some major renovations to areas for both animals and visitors.

The projects include a new penguin cove that will be home to African penguins, a species that's never been at the zoo before.

Works is also underway on a new polar bear exhibit called "Arctic Tundra." And for the first time ever, the zoo will completely renovate the historic Kovier Lion House.

For guests, the zoo will renovate the center of the zoo, including the visitor center.
