Donald Stephens statue unveiled in Rosemont

ROSEMONT, Ill. (WLS) -- A new statue honoring the first mayor of northwest suburban Rosemont was unveiled Sunday.

The village unveiled the $300,000, 1,500 pound statue of the late Donald Stephens who served as mayor for 51 years, before he died in office, in 2007.

Sunday's unveiling is just one of the events marking Rosemont's 60th anniversary.
