Public housing advocates protest outside CHA headquarters

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Some public housing resident say they're losing their homes.

A group marched outside Chicago Housing Authority headquarters downtown as part of a renewed fight to save Lathrop Homes.

They say the agency wants to destroy 525 public housing units and does not have any plan to replace them.

The Chicago Housing Authority did not return ABC7's call for a comment.
