CHICAGO (WLS) -- It was a proud and happy day for a group of college bound students from the Chicago Urban League. They were surprised Monday morning with a trunk full of gear for college.

Forty-five students were presented with college trunks filled with things like bed sheets, desk supplies and snacks. The Urban League said these students have unconditional support as they begin this next step.

"If you think you are going to stumble, we will be there to pick you up. There is absolutely no chance that we will not make sure that you succeed. We want to see you succeed," Shari Runner, of the Chicago Urban League, said.

This is the Trunk Party's fourth year and it's sponsored by the law offices of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom.
