CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police said a 17-year-old girl was touched inappropriately Thursday morning on a CTA train.

The teen was assaulted by a black man between the ages of 30 and 35, according to police. The incident happened around 7:45 a.m. on a southbound Green Line train near 3500 S. State Street.

According to police, the 17-year-old told them she and the man were the only people in the car and he started touching her. The girl moved from seat to seat trying to get away from him and he kept following her. Police say something happened to scare him and he got off at one of the stops.
