Kane County's 1st school-based food pantry opens Wednesday

CARPENTERSVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- Fewer families in Kane County will have to worry about where their next meal will come from.

A new food pantry is scheduled to open Wednesday at Carpentersville Middle School.

This will be the first school-based food pantry for the county.

It will be open every Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. and is expected to serve about 100 families a week.
