Man, 33, fatally shot in Marquette Park, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 33-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday afternoon in the city's Marquette Park neighborhood, police said.

At about 2:15 p.m., the victim was in front of a house in the 7300-block of South Rockwell Street when a man walked up and fired shots before running away.

The victim was shot in the head and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, police said.
