ELGIN, Ill. (WLS) -- City officials in northwest suburban Elgin hope cemetery signs will help cut down on thefts.

Several women visiting Bluff City Cemetery said their purses were stolen. There's a sign urging visitors to lock their doors at the office, but few people stop by it.

Now officials are working to have the signs placed around the cemetery.
