Woman pulled from Chicago River in Loop dies

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 24-year-old woman who was pulled from the Chicago River at Van Buren Friday evening has died, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Dominique Flewellen, of west suburban Lombard, was pulled from the river at about 6 p.m. in the Loop.

She was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office ruled her death a suicide. Several witnesses said they saw the woman jump into the water.
