Man shot in Evanston; 2 suspects at large

EVANSTON, Ill. (WLS) -- Police in north suburban Evanston are searching for two male suspects who were seen running from the scene of a shooting Thursday morning.

Officers responded around 10:30 a.m. to a report of a person shot in a home in the 1000-block of Dodge Avenue. When they arrived, they found a 23-year-old male resident who had been shot in the right arm.

He was transported to Evanston NorthShore University Hospital, where he is listed in good condition.

Witnesses told police they saw two African American males in their late teens or early 20s running from the scene, heading southwest. One of the suspects was wearing a black jacket.

Investigators are looking into what happened.
