Bullet found in Downers Grove high school bathroom

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. (WLS) -- A bullet was found in the boy's bathroom of a high school in west suburban Downers Grove, officials said.

Police said janitorial staff found the bullet in the bathroom at Downers Grove South High School while cleaning Thursday morning. They said there was no threat to the school and police had extra patrols during and after school as a precaution.

Police are investigating how the bullet got into the school.
