Country singer's Amanda Shires' van burglarized while performing in West Loop

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Country singer Amanda Shires is asking fans for help after her van was burglarized while she was performing in the West Loop Monday night.

Shires was performing at City Winery on West Randolph Street when someone broke into her vehicle and snatched some of her very personal property.

Shires tweeted that among the missing things were "All my thesis writing and new songs and journal." She added, "I'm the one who doesn't ever do a backup."
