Zion woman killed in Gurnee crash

GURNEE, Ill. (WLS) -- A woman was killed and man injured in a two-car crash Saturday morning in Gurnee, Ill., police said.

A 31-year-old woman from Zion, Ill. was traveling north on Route 41 near Blackstone Avenue when she crossed over into the southbound lane and hit a vehicle head-on at about 3:30 a.m., police said.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A 44-year-old man from South Holland, Ill. driving the other vehicle was hospitalized in unknown condition.

Authorities have not released the identity of the woman.
