7 shot in West Garfield Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Seven people were shot in Chicago's West Garfield Park neighborhood Friday night, officials said.

The shooting occurred in the 3300-block of Maypole. Officials said three of the injured drove themselves to Mount Sinai Hospital.

Fire officials said one person was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious to critical condition.

Police have not yet said what the immediate circumstances of the shooting were. An investigation is ongoing.
