Man critically injured in South Side attempted carjacking, shooting

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man is in critical condition after being shot during an attempted carjacking near East 95th Street and South Stony Island Avenue Tuesday afternoon, Chicago police said.

Chicago police said there was an attempted carjacking near the gas station in which shots were fired. The man was found wounded in the parking lot of a gas station around 3 p.m. He was taken to Christ Hospital in critical condition with gunshot wounds to his arms and leg.

An investigation is ongoing.
