Cubs to pay $388k in repairs after World Series rally

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago Cubs will pay $388,000 for repairs and clean up after the team's World Series rally earlier this month.

Fans flooded Hutchinson Field in Grant Park on Nov. 7 to celebrate the epic Cubs win. The Office of Emergency Management and Communications estimated 5 million people attended the parade and rally.

The Chicago Park District said the money will cover expenses like trash pickup, fence repairs and sodding lower Hutchinson Field.

Those repairs should be completed this fall, if weather permits.

The cost was less than the damage caused during Lollapalooza.
