Closures in effect on Jane Byrne Interchange ahead of opening of new flyover ramp

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Road work on the Jane Byrne Interchange could affect your weekend travel plans, but it will eventually mean relief.

One of the two lanes of the new flyover ramp is expected to open Sunday. The ramp connects the inbound Dan Ryan Expressway to the outbound Eisenhower Expressway.

As workers get it ready, the ramp from the inbound Kennedy Expressway to the outbound Eisenhower will be closed until 5 a.m. Monday. The westbound Congress Parkway will be reduced to one lane from Canal to Morgan streets until 2 p.m. Sunday.
