Hershey's Chocolate World on Michigan Ave to close

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Hershey's flagship location on Chicago's Magnificent Mile will close in January, the company said.

Hershey's Chocolate World Chicago, located behind the Old Chicago Water tower, will close at a date to be determined in January.

The store allows customers to create their own mix of candy and put custom photos on candy wrappers. Hershey's said the store will remain open through the holiday season.

Hershey's said it will not rule out a return to Chicago in the future.
