HUNTLEY, Ill. (WLS) -- Huntley police asked for the public's help to identify a woman suspected of robbing a Jimmy John's sandwich shop at gunpoint.

Police responded just before 8:55 p.m. on Dec. 9 to a report of an armed robbery at the restaurant in the 9700-block of North Route 47.

When officers arrived, an employee said a woman had entered the store, flashed a gun and demanded money from the register. The employee handed an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect, who then left the store.

Police said she may have driven away in a silver, mid-size SUV - possibly a Nissan Rogue or Nissan Murano.

No one was hurt during the robbery. Police searched the area for the suspect, with help from Lake in the Hills police and a K-9 unit from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office. They did not find her.

The suspect was described as a Caucasian female in her mid-to-late 20s. She is about 5 ft. 4 in. tall and has an average build, blonde hair and blue eyes. She was wearing pink-rimmed glasses and light blue jeans with sequins on the back pockets.

Anyone who can identify the suspect or has more information regarding the robbery should call Huntley police at 847-515-5311 or the Huntley police tip line at 847-515-5333.
