Thousands of strollers recalled due to risk of laceration, collapse

Aria Child is recalling five models of its GB Qbit lightweight stroller. About 29,400 strollers are included in the recall.

They can fold unexpectedly during use and a gap in the side hinge can pinch or cut hands.

Aria Child received 71 reports of the stroller folding unexpectedly. Twelve of those incidents resulted in bumps and bruises to a child or adult. In one case, an adult fell and fractured their wrist and elbow. There were five reports of people being pinched. Four of them needed stitches for their cuts.

-10AW1G-RAS2U (raspberry)

-10AW1G-WHT2U (white)

-10AW1G-CHA4U (charcoal)

-10AW1G-CIR5U (citrus lemon)

They were manufactured between March 25, 2015 and March 9, 2016 and sold for $180 between May 2015 and November 2016 at these stores or websites:

The company said people should stop using the strollers immediately and register for a free replacement.
