CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago officials have shut down two businesses in the Brighton Park neighborhood because of alleged ties to gang activity.

Alderman Raymond Lopez (15th Ward) said Mercado 43 and Taqueria La Cantera are known for drug and gang activity.

Just last Friday, two people were killed and two others were wounded in a shooting there.

The owner of the businesses denies any gang activity inside his store.
