WHITESTOWN, Ind. (WLS) -- Christmas came a little early for some Indiana drivers who were pulled over by police for all the right reasons.

Officers in Whitestown, Indiana, pulled people over for good driving habits.

The chief of police joined in the fun as well. He said days like this show a different side of his officers.

The best part is the drivers didn't leave their traffic stop empty-handed.

Police gave 25 drivers $100 each as a show of appreciation for following the rules of the road.

The police chief says the reward is to let people know officers care about them.
