Hockey equipment found strewn on Oswego road

OSWEGO, Ill. (WLS) -- A day after several pieces of hockey equipment were found Saturday strewn along Route 34 in west suburban Oswego, the equipment was claimed, police said.

The equipment was found at about 5 p.m. near the Prairie Market shopping strip. No hockey facility is located near that location, police said.

The equipment appears to fit teenagers, police said.

Police picked up the equipment from the four-lane roadway and posted some of the items on their Facebook page.
