2 charged after vehicle crash into Evanston restaurant

EVANSTON, Ill. (WLS) -- Two Chicago men were charged Saturday after their vehicle crashed into an Evanston restaurant, police said.

Evanston police attempted to pull over Cortez Heard, 18, Friday night for a traffic violation. Police said the car collided with another car before crashing into the restaurant.

Heard is charged eluding police and drunken driving.

His passenger, Deqwan Kidd, 22, was charged with illegal use of a weapon.
