SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (WLS) -- Two people were killed in a suburban Schaumburg crash, and one of the victims had allegedly just been involved in a separate hit-and-run.

The deadly crash occurred just after 7 p.m. Monday night at the intersection of Springinsguth and Hartmann roads in Schaumburg.

Erin Semerad, 39, was killed when the car she was driving was struck by a vehicle driven by Michael Owsiany, 19, of Elk Grove Village. He also died and his passenger, 23-year-old Ashley Trenholm, was injured.

ABC7's news partner The Daily Herald reports Owsiany had left the scene of another less-serious crash just before the deadly collision with Semerad's car.
