CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two women were shot at a carry-out restaurant in Chicago's Auburn Gresham neighborhood Saturday night, Chicago police said.

The women, ages 54 and 36, were standing with several other people at Jamaican Jerk Villa in the 700-block of West 79th Street when a masked man walked inside and fired shots.

Brenda Wilson, 54, was shot in the back. An employee of the restaurant was shot in the foot. Both were taken to area hospitals in stable condition.

"All of a sudden the guy came in through the door, he had on a navy blue jumpsuit with a blue mask on," said Wilson.

Wilson was with family Sunday in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood after spending the night at Advocate Christ Hospital. The bullet was still lodged in her back as she described the moment she was shot.

"I took my hand and touched my back, that's when I saw blood and said I'd been hit," Wilson said. "He had no heart, he didn't care, he just started shooting and he didn't have a target."

The popular restaurant was open for business again on Sunday despite bullet holes in the front window.

Outside a group of people who are fed up with the violence in the city gathered to demand change.

"We continuously point our fingers at the police department, but they can't be everywhere," said crisis responder Dawn Valenti.

Police said there is surveillance video of the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing. No one is in custody.
