20-year-old fatally shot in East Chicago, Ind.

EAST CHICAGO, Ind. (WLS) -- A 20-year-old Ford Heights, Ill., man was fatally shot in East Chicago, Ind., Saturday night, officials said.

The death was ruled a homicide, according to the Lake County (Ind.) Coroner's Office.

Kentrail L. Nelson Jr. was hospitalized at St. Catherine's Hospital in East Chicago with a gunshot wound which was sustained near 150th Street and Melville Avenue in East Chicago, the coroner's office said.
