CHICAGO (WLS) -- Five people, including three children, were injured in a house fire in Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood early Saturday, the Chicago Fire Department said.

Fire crews put out the flames at about 12:20 a.m. in the 4300-block of North Monticello Avenue.

Three children were hospitalized with two in serious-to-critical condition. Two adults were also hospitalized and are expected to be okay.

"The flames were big, orange, and they were like just shooting out of the house. I could only imagine what they are going through right now," said resident Mina Mak.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
