NAPERVILLE, Ill. (WLS) -- Imagine a world where there is time and space for every child to reach their full learning potential. That is the vision of the DuPage Children's Museum in Naperville which is marking its 30th anniversary.

From humble beginnings in 1987 and rising from devastating flooding in 2015, the award-winning museum is bigger and better than ever and as part of the big birthday celebration, they are opening a new learning experience called "Awesome Water" and that completes their largest exhibit ever.

DuPage Children's Museum President and CEO Sarah Orleans and Museum Board Director and President and COO of Molex joined Newsviews to talk about the museum.

The DuPage Children's Museum in Naperville is having its 30th Birthday Splash Saturday, June 24 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday June 25 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The museum is located at 301 N. Washington St. Naperville, IL 60540, (630) 637-8000.
