Girl, 12, missing from West Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 12-year-old girl is missing is from the Austin neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Destiny Gilbert was last seen at 1 p.m. Sunday after leaving her home without permission, police said. She may have gone to the area of Kedzie Avenue and Jackson Boulevard.

Police describe Gilbert as a 5'3", 120-pound Black girl with brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and black gym shoes and may be wearing a head band with black cat ears attached.
