CHICAGO (WLS) -- Principals at Chicago Public Schools will get their budgets Thursday for the upcoming school year, which starts Sept. 5.

These budgets are coming later than ever before, and they're based on funding from Springfield that is very much in question.

Governor Bruce Rauner has promised to veto about $200 million of the funding included in the budget.

The Chicago Teachers Union planned a day of action Thursday.
